1. Acceptance

By downloading, installing or using the Manwe Mac app, or using this website, you agree to these terms and to our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use Manwe.

2. What Manwe is

Manwe is a Mac app that puts the AI models you choose to work with project context, memory, persistent advisors, research, files, connected tools and repeatable workflows. Manwe is not a model itself. This website provides product information, documentation and downloads. The earlier web app at app.askmanwe.com closed on November 2, 2026.

3. Beta status

Manwe is early-stage software. It may change, break, lose data, or produce unexpected output. Features, modes, and behavior can change between releases. Do not rely on the beta for workflows where failure is not recoverable.

4. License to use the app

We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable right to install and use the Manwe Mac app on Macs you own or control, for your own work and decisions. You may not: (a) resell, sublicense, or redistribute the product or its components, (b) reverse engineer or modify the product except as permitted by applicable law, (c) use the product to build a competing product, or (d) remove or alter any notices contained in the product.

5. Decision support only

Manwe helps you inspect assumptions, evidence, dissent, risks, forecasts, and next actions. It is decision support, not professional advice. Outputs are not legal, medical, clinical, financial, regulatory, tax, or safety advice. Do not rely on Manwe's output to make legally, medically, or financially binding decisions without appropriate qualified human review.

6. Your responsibility for content and outcomes

You are responsible for: (a) the questions and context you enter, (b) any documents or source material you upload, (c) your decision to use a local or cloud model mode, (d) the decisions you make based on Manwe's output, and (e) any use of outputs you share or act on. Do not upload material you do not have the right to use or that would be unlawful to process.

7. Cloud models and third-party services

When you use cloud models in the Mac app, the relevant content of your task may be sent to model or research providers such as Anthropic, OpenAI, or similar services, under their own terms and privacy practices. The Mac app is distributed via GitHub Releases, which has its own terms. We are not responsible for third-party services, but you must not use them through Manwe in ways that violate their terms or applicable law.

8. Intellectual property

The Manwe name, brand, design, app code, and website content are owned by Manwe and protected by applicable intellectual property laws. Content you create with Manwe, and material you add to it, belong to you; we do not claim ownership of your work.

9. Acceptable use

Do not use Manwe to: (a) process material you are not authorized to process, (b) attempt to deceive, defraud, harass, or harm another person, (c) generate content that violates applicable law, (d) evade safety or compliance obligations you owe elsewhere, or (e) interfere with the operation of the website or the app.

10. No warranty

The Manwe Mac app and this website are provided "as is" and "as available", without warranty of any kind, express or implied, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy, reliability, or non-infringement. We do not warrant that outputs are correct, complete, or suitable for your particular decision.

11. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Manwe and its operators are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for any loss of profits, revenue, data, goodwill, or decision outcomes, arising from or related to your use of the Mac app or the website. Our aggregate liability for any direct damages is limited to USD 100 or the amount you have paid us in the prior twelve months, whichever is greater.

12. Termination

You may stop using Manwe at any time by uninstalling the Mac app or simply stopping use. We may pause, change, or discontinue the app or the beta, or remove access for a specific user, for any reason, including for violations of these terms. Sections that by their nature should survive termination (intellectual property, disclaimers, liability, governing law, and these general terms) will survive.

13. Changes to these terms

We may revise these terms as Manwe evolves. Substantive changes will be reflected by updating the date at the top of this page. Continued use of the product or the website after a change means you accept the revised terms.

14. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws applicable to the Manwe team's place of residence, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules. Any dispute that cannot be resolved by good-faith discussion will be submitted to the competent courts at that location, unless mandatory consumer protection law in your jurisdiction provides otherwise.
